Use Bennett to answer, guide, and assist. Do not use Bennett to deceive, exploit, unlawfully contact, or make high-risk decisions about people.

Customers remain responsible for their source content, configuration, notices, consents, legal compliance, human oversight, and every use made through their accounts.

Review Your Responsibilities

Ask Bennett is built for legitimate business assistance, not uncontrolled automation.

Bennett may answer website questions, respond to callers, help visitors locate information, collect permitted details, support appointment paths, and direct people to appropriate business resources. Because the service uses artificial intelligence and third-party communications technology, customers must use it transparently, lawfully, and with meaningful human oversight.

Section 01

Scope and Acceptance

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) applies to every customer, account owner, administrator, employee, contractor, agent, developer, end user, website, telephone number, integration, deployment, and person who accesses or uses Ask Bennett. “Ask Bennett,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Ask Bennett.

This Policy is incorporated into the Terms of Service, Service Agreement, Data Processing Addendum, order, checkout record, and any other agreement governing the service (collectively, the “Agreement”). By using or permitting access to Ask Bennett, Customer accepts this Policy and is responsible for violations by anyone using Customer’s account, credentials, websites, telephone numbers, integrations, or configurations.

If a law, regulation, court order, regulator instruction, telecommunications rule, industry code, third-party platform term, or written order imposes a stricter requirement, the stricter requirement controls.

Section 02

Permitted Business Purpose

Customer may use Ask Bennett only for legitimate, disclosed, and lawful business purposes consistent with the purchased service, the Customer’s approved source content, the Agreement, and this Policy.

Permitted uses may include answering general business questions, explaining published products or services, providing location or operating information, helping a visitor navigate a website, supporting appointment requests, collecting information the Customer is legally entitled to request, and transferring a visitor or caller to a human or approved destination.

Ask Bennett is not a general-purpose autonomous agent, legal decision maker, emergency service, surveillance tool, robocalling platform, identity-verification system, or substitute for qualified professional judgment.

Section 03

Customer Responsibility and Accountability

Customer is solely responsible for selecting, configuring, testing, supervising, and using Ask Bennett; maintaining accurate approved source content; determining which features are enabled; providing every legally required notice and consent; responding to end-user requests; and ensuring that personnel using the service understand this Policy.

Customer must maintain reasonable governance appropriate to its use, including designated account administrators, access controls, source-content ownership, periodic review, escalation paths, human handoff, complaint handling, opt-out handling, and prompt correction of inaccurate or unsafe configurations.

Customer may not claim that Ask Bennett, a third-party provider, or an automated output independently authorized, approved, certified, guaranteed, or legally validated Customer’s activity.

Section 04

Lawful Use

Customer must comply with every law and rule applicable to its location, end users, industry, content, communications, data, and deployment. Customer must obtain all licenses, permissions, consents, disclosures, approvals, and legal rights required before using the service.

Customer may not use Ask Bennett to commit, facilitate, encourage, conceal, or attempt any unlawful act; evade legal duties; interfere with an investigation; destroy evidence; obstruct rights; or help another person violate law or this Policy.

Customer must stop or modify a use immediately when it knows or reasonably should know that the use may be unlawful, misleading, unsafe, unauthorized, or inconsistent with this Policy.

Section 05

AI Transparency, Identity, and Human Availability

Customer must clearly disclose, at or before the beginning of an interaction when required by law or reasonably necessary to avoid deception, that the person is interacting with an AI-powered or automated assistant. Customer may not present Bennett as a human employee, licensed professional, government representative, or specific real person.

Customer must not conceal the automated nature of the service, remove required AI notices, manipulate identity disclosures, or use synthetic voice, cloned voice, likeness, or persona in a way that falsely implies authorization, endorsement, affiliation, or human authorship.

Where the context, law, risk, or end-user request requires human assistance, Customer must provide a reasonable path to a human representative or another appropriate non-AI channel. Customer may not use Bennett to prevent a person from reaching legally required support, complaint, cancellation, accessibility, emergency, or dispute channels.

Section 07

Marketing, Telemarketing, Email, Text, and Electronic Communications

Customer may not use Ask Bennett or any connected feature to send or initiate spam, unlawful telemarketing, unsolicited commercial messages, prerecorded or artificial-voice calls without legally sufficient consent, misleading promotions, harvested-address campaigns, or communications prohibited by a do-not-call, suppression, preference, or opt-out list.

For every marketing communication, Customer must independently determine whether consent is required, maintain evidence of consent, identify the sender accurately, provide required contact information, use truthful header and subject information, include a clear and functional opt-out where required, and honor opt-outs within the legally required period.

These duties include, where applicable, the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act and CAN-SPAM Act, UK PECR and UK data-protection law, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation and National Do Not Call List rules, Australia’s Spam Act and Do Not Call Register rules, New Zealand’s Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act, and equivalent national, state, provincial, territorial, or local requirements.

Section 08

Opt-Outs, Revocation, Suppression, and Contact Preferences

Customer must provide and maintain an effective process for people to withdraw consent, opt out, request no further contact, revoke permission, or exercise a legally recognized communication preference.

Customer must promptly suppress affected telephone numbers, email addresses, accounts, devices, and other identifiers; synchronize suppression across connected systems; avoid re-uploading or reactivating suppressed contacts without a new lawful basis; and retain only the minimum suppression record reasonably needed to honor the request.

Customer may not make opting out materially harder than opting in, misrepresent the effect of an opt-out, require unnecessary information, charge a fee, condition service on unnecessary marketing consent, or continue contact after a valid revocation except where law permits a narrowly limited confirmation or transactional communication.

Section 09

Fraud, Deception, Impersonation, and Manipulation

Customer may not use Ask Bennett to defraud, scam, phish, mislead, impersonate, spoof, forge, conceal identity, fabricate authority, obtain money or data under false pretenses, manipulate a vulnerable person, or make a material omission that would deceive a reasonable person.

Prohibited conduct includes impersonating or falsely claiming affiliation with a government, business, financial institution, charity, healthcare provider, law-enforcement agency, public official, employee, family member, celebrity, candidate, customer, or other person or organization.

Customer may not use Bennett to create fake reviews, fake testimonials, fabricated endorsements, false scarcity, deceptive pricing, fabricated legal threats, fraudulent invoices, counterfeit support, credential-reset scams, account-takeover attempts, or deceptive synthetic media.

Section 10

Illegal, Dangerous, or Harmful Content and Conduct

Customer may not use the service to create, transmit, retrieve, promote, instruct, facilitate, or distribute content or activity that is illegal, tortious, dangerous, exploitative, fraudulent, defamatory, invasive of privacy, or likely to cause serious physical, psychological, financial, or societal harm.

Prohibited uses include instructions to commit violence or serious wrongdoing; credible threats; extortion; blackmail; trafficking; terrorism support; evasion of law enforcement; malicious weapons assistance; creation or distribution of illegal drugs or controlled substances; self-harm encouragement; and instructions materially enabling cybercrime, theft, or physical harm.

Good-faith safety, educational, compliance, prevention, reporting, and support content may be permitted when lawful, appropriately limited, and not used to operationalize harm.

Section 11

Harassment, Hate, Discrimination, and Violence

Customer may not use Ask Bennett to harass, stalk, bully, threaten, shame, intimidate, dox, target, or repeatedly contact a person against that person’s expressed wishes.

Customer may not promote or facilitate hatred, dehumanization, exclusion, discriminatory treatment, or violence based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, citizenship, family status, or another protected characteristic.

Customer may not configure Bennett to deny service, provide materially different treatment, steer people, or use coded proxies in a manner that violates civil-rights, accessibility, public-accommodation, employment, housing, credit, education, insurance, or consumer-protection law.

Section 12

Sexual Exploitation, Nonconsensual Content, and Minors

Ask Bennett may never be used to create, solicit, facilitate, distribute, advertise, normalize, or conceal child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of a minor, grooming, trafficking, sextortion, or sexualized content involving a person under the applicable age of majority.

Customer may not create or distribute nonconsensual intimate content, sexual deepfakes, revenge pornography, voyeuristic material, coerced sexual content, or content that falsely depicts a real person in a sexual context.

We may immediately suspend access, preserve relevant records, and report suspected child exploitation or other legally reportable conduct to the appropriate authorities or reporting organizations.

Section 13

Child-Directed Use and Young Users

Customer may not deploy Ask Bennett on a service directed to children, knowingly collect personal information from children, or encourage children to disclose personal information unless Ask Bennett has expressly approved the deployment in writing and the Customer has implemented every legally required parental-consent, notice, age-assurance, minimization, deletion, safety, and child-rights control.

Without separate written approval, Customer must not use Bennett to profile children, target advertising to children, infer sensitive traits about children, encourage compulsive engagement, or make educational, disciplinary, healthcare, safety, or other consequential decisions about a child.

Customer remains solely responsible for determining the age rules that apply in each jurisdiction and for preventing prohibited access or collection.

Section 14

High-Impact and Legally Significant Decisions

Customer may not use Bennett as the sole or determinative basis to make, recommend, rank, score, or materially influence decisions involving employment, hiring, promotion, termination, compensation, housing, credit, lending, insurance, education admission, government benefits, public services, legal rights, healthcare access, or another similarly significant opportunity or service.

Customer may not use protected characteristics, sensitive personal data, proxies for protected characteristics, emotion recognition, facial analysis, voice analysis, or unvalidated behavioral inferences to make such decisions.

Any separately approved assistive use must include a lawful purpose, documented testing, qualified human review, meaningful notice, accessibility, error correction, appeal or reconsideration where required, and safeguards against discrimination and automation bias.

Section 15

Medical, Legal, Financial, Emergency, and Other Professional Advice

Ask Bennett provides general business information from Customer-approved content. Customer may not configure or represent Bennett as a licensed physician, therapist, attorney, accountant, financial adviser, investment adviser, insurance producer, emergency dispatcher, or other regulated professional.

Bennett must not diagnose, prescribe, provide individualized treatment, determine legal rights, give personalized investment or tax advice, approve or deny insurance or credit, provide emergency instructions, or replace required professional review.

Customer must direct emergencies, threats to life or safety, crisis situations, urgent medical issues, suspected crimes, and other time-sensitive high-risk matters to qualified human personnel or the appropriate emergency service. Customer may not represent that Bennett is monitored continuously or capable of guaranteeing emergency response.

Section 16

Regulated Industries, Products, and Activities

Customer may not use Ask Bennett for a regulated or age-restricted activity unless the use is lawful, within the Customer’s licenses and authority, supported by appropriate age and identity controls, and expressly permitted by the Agreement or a written approval from Ask Bennett.

Restricted or approval-required uses may include healthcare and protected health information, financial services, lending, insurance, debt collection, legal services, employment screening, housing, education admissions, government services, political campaigning, gambling, alcohol, nicotine, controlled substances, weapons, adult services, and other activities subject to heightened licensing, disclosure, recordkeeping, advertising, or consumer-protection duties.

Ask Bennett may require additional terms, a security review, a business associate agreement, industry-specific configuration, proof of licensing, or other controls, and may refuse or discontinue a regulated use in its discretion.

Section 17

Privacy, Surveillance, Tracking, and Biometric Use

Customer may not use Ask Bennett to conduct unlawful surveillance, secretly monitor people, track a person without authority, identify or locate a person through sensitive signals, build an unauthorized dossier, infer protected traits, or collect personal data beyond what is necessary and disclosed for the permitted purpose.

Customer may not use voice, face, gait, emotion, behavior, device, location, or other data to create or compare biometric identifiers or templates, authenticate identity, infer health or protected characteristics, or conduct persistent tracking unless separately approved in writing and fully compliant with applicable law.

Customer must follow data-minimization, purpose-limitation, retention, access, deletion, security, notice, consent, and rights-handling requirements described in the Privacy Policy, DPA, and applicable law.

Section 18

Sensitive, Regulated, and Restricted Data

Unless separately approved in writing, Customer must not submit, request, store, transmit, or expose through Ask Bennett: full payment-card data; bank-account credentials; authentication secrets; passwords; private keys; Social Security, national identification, passport, or driver-license numbers; precise geolocation; biometric templates; protected health information; criminal-history data; children’s data; or other highly sensitive or specially regulated information.

Customer may use a properly configured third-party payment or identity provider, but Bennett must not ask an end user to speak, type, or transmit full credentials or secret authentication information into an ordinary conversation.

If prohibited data is received, Customer must stop the collection, restrict access, notify Ask Bennett when appropriate, follow applicable incident procedures, and use available deletion or remediation controls.

Section 19

Intellectual Property, Publicity, and Source Rights

Customer must own or possess all rights, permissions, licenses, and lawful bases necessary for every website, document, trademark, logo, recording, voice, image, database, script, prompt, instruction, integration, and other material provided to or used with Ask Bennett.

Customer may not use the service to infringe copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, publicity, privacy, database, contractual, or other proprietary rights; remove rights-management information; pass off another party’s goods or services; or create a misleading suggestion of sponsorship or endorsement.

Customer may not clone, imitate, or synthesize the voice or likeness of a real person without that person’s valid authorization and every legally required disclosure.

Section 20

Security, Malware, Cyber Abuse, and Credential Misuse

Customer may not use Ask Bennett to create, deliver, host, conceal, test against unauthorized targets, or facilitate malware, ransomware, spyware, credential theft, phishing, malicious code, destructive payloads, denial-of-service activity, unauthorized scanning, exploitation, account takeover, data exfiltration, or evasion of security controls.

Customer must protect credentials, use unique authorized accounts, limit privileges, remove access promptly, maintain secure integrations, and notify Ask Bennett without unreasonable delay of suspected compromise, unauthorized access, credential exposure, or abuse.

Security research is prohibited unless Ask Bennett has expressly authorized the exact scope in writing. Customer may not test production systems, other customers, third-party providers, or connected infrastructure without authorization.

Section 21

Circumvention, Reverse Engineering, and Unauthorized Access

Customer may not bypass, disable, manipulate, evade, or interfere with usage limits, authentication, payment controls, content safeguards, security measures, disclosures, audit logs, rate limits, access restrictions, moderation, privacy controls, or enforcement systems.

Except to the limited extent a prohibition is not enforceable under mandatory law, Customer may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, scrape, extract, reproduce, discover source code, derive models or system instructions, or use automated methods to obtain nonpublic service components.

Customer may not access another account, impersonate an authorized user, share credentials outside the permitted organization, resell or sublicense access without written authorization, or use the service to build or train a competing product through systematic extraction.

Section 22

Excessive, Disruptive, or Abusive Use

Customer may not use the service in a manner that degrades availability, imposes an unreasonable load, creates excessive calls or requests, consumes resources disproportionately, interferes with another customer, causes telecommunications congestion, or threatens the integrity or reputation of Ask Bennett or a provider.

Prohibited activity includes automated stress testing, request flooding, repeated failed authentication, artificial traffic, fraudulent call generation, toll fraud, traffic pumping, unauthorized premium-rate activity, abusive scraping, or using multiple accounts to evade limits or payment obligations.

Ask Bennett may apply rate limits, block destinations, restrict features, require configuration changes, isolate integrations, or suspend activity to protect the service and third parties.

Section 23

Approved Source Content, Accuracy, and AI Output

Bennett answers from the Customer’s approved website and other approved source content and connected systems. If information is missing, outdated, contradictory, unclear, inaccessible, or not included in the approved sources, Bennett may not know it or may answer incompletely.

Artificial intelligence can misunderstand a question, mishear speech, translate imperfectly, select the wrong source, provide an incomplete answer, or generate inaccurate, unexpected, or fabricated content. Customer may not represent Bennett’s output as guaranteed, independently verified, error-free, legally sufficient, or a substitute for the Customer’s own review.

Customer must not intentionally supply false, deceptive, defamatory, discriminatory, unsafe, illegal, infringing, or materially incomplete source content. Customer must promptly correct known errors and must not use Bennett to amplify misinformation or conceal the source of a claim.

Section 24

Testing, Monitoring, Escalation, and Human Oversight

Before launch and after material changes, Customer must test common questions, edge cases, unsupported questions, language behavior, call flows, transfers, appointments, notices, opt-outs, and escalation paths. Customer must periodically review live performance and update source content and configuration.

Customer must provide qualified human oversight proportionate to the risk of the use. Higher-risk topics require stronger review, faster escalation, narrower content, and more prominent limitations.

Customer must investigate credible complaints, unexpected outputs, safety issues, discriminatory effects, privacy concerns, and repeated failures; preserve relevant evidence; and suspend an affected use until the issue is reasonably addressed.

Section 25

Third-Party Platforms, Carriers, Models, and Integrations

Customer must comply with the terms, acceptable-use rules, privacy requirements, telecommunications rules, app policies, and technical restrictions of every third-party platform, carrier, AI provider, payment provider, calendar, integration, hosting service, and communications provider used with Ask Bennett.

Customer may not use Ask Bennett to violate or evade a third party’s rules, access restricted data, misuse an integration, send prohibited traffic, or cause Ask Bennett or another provider to breach a contractual or legal obligation.

A third party may block, limit, filter, reject, or terminate activity. Ask Bennett may take corresponding action without liability when reasonably necessary to comply with provider requirements or protect service continuity.

Section 26

Monitoring, Investigation, and Information Requests

Ask Bennett is not obligated to pre-screen every use or output. We may, however, use automated and human measures to detect abuse, review configurations, investigate complaints, examine relevant logs and content, verify consent or licensing, and request information reasonably necessary to assess compliance.

Customer must cooperate promptly and truthfully, preserve relevant records, provide evidence of consent and authority, identify responsible personnel, and take corrective action. Failure to respond or provide adequate evidence may result in restriction or suspension.

We may disclose information when permitted or required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, to respond to lawful process, or to report suspected exploitation, threats, cybercrime, or other legally reportable conduct.

Section 27

Restriction, Suspension, Removal, and Termination

Ask Bennett may immediately block content, restrict a feature, disable an integration, suspend a telephone number or account, preserve evidence, or terminate service when we reasonably believe a violation has occurred or may occur; a use creates legal, security, safety, reputational, or provider risk; payment or identity information is fraudulent; or action is necessary to comply with law or a third-party requirement.

When appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to cure. We are not required to provide advance notice for urgent, repeated, intentional, fraudulent, illegal, dangerous, exploitative, security-related, or materially harmful conduct.

Customer remains responsible for fees and obligations incurred before or during a suspension. A suspension or termination caused by Customer’s violation does not create a refund, credit, reimbursement, or release from amounts due, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

Section 28

Reporting Violations, Abuse, and Safety Concerns

Report suspected unlawful use, fraud, threats, exploitation, privacy abuse, security incidents, impersonation, spam, or other violations to [email protected]. Use a clear subject such as “Acceptable Use Report,” “Security Concern,” or “Urgent Safety Report.”

Include the relevant website, telephone number, date and approximate time, description, screenshots or recordings lawfully in your possession, and any immediate safety concern. Do not send passwords, full payment credentials, private keys, illegal content, or unnecessary sensitive personal information.

For an immediate threat to life or physical safety, contact the appropriate local emergency service or law-enforcement authority first. Ask Bennett does not operate an emergency-response center.

Section 29

Customer Remedies, Indemnification, and Continuing Responsibility

Violations may constitute a material breach of the Agreement. In addition to suspension or termination, Ask Bennett may seek injunctive relief, damages, reimbursement, collection costs, investigation costs where recoverable, and any other remedy available under the Agreement or law.

Customer remains responsible for its source content, communications, consents, legal compliance, end-user relationships, employees, contractors, integrations, and use of outputs. The indemnification, limitation-of-liability, payment, dispute, and survival provisions in the Terms of Service and Service Agreement apply to this Policy.

Nothing in this Policy limits a regulator’s authority, a person’s nonwaivable rights, criminal law, or duties that applicable law imposes directly on Ask Bennett.

Section 30

Changes, Interpretation, and No Waiver

We may update this Policy to address changes in law, regulation, technology, provider rules, product features, risks, or business practices. The updated version will state a revised effective date and will apply as provided in the Agreement and applicable law.

Examples in this Policy are illustrative and do not limit broader prohibitions. A failure to identify a specific method, technology, content type, industry, or law does not make an otherwise harmful, deceptive, unlawful, or unauthorized use acceptable.

Our failure to enforce a provision in one instance is not a waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary while the remaining provisions continue in effect.
